Nothing on the linked sight can or does make claim to being by or from ex JWs. The site itself is dedicated to far far more than exposing the Watchtower.

One thing i noted when begining my journey from apologist for the WT to 'apostate' was that not everything written to expose the WT is true, or worded correctly, or accurate.

But an awful lot is.

There is far more to the whole child abuse issue than change name knows. In fact, there is so much that name change does not know about the WT and JWs that i think he/she should get baptized and hang with them for 30 years...then they will be able to tell us off with real experience and not presumptions and assumptions.

Group Number One are all the people who read and believed the teachings of Charles Taze Russell.

Group Number Two are all the people who came along after Judge Rutherford became President of the Society.

Group Number Three are the JW's under Nathan Knorr up to the year 1975.

Group Number Four are all the Jehovah's Witnesses post 1975 up to today.

Now here is the experiment. How many things do these vast groups of millions of Jehovah's true believers AGREE UPON AS THE TRUTH?

That is a mighty facinating thought to pursue...

I see that you are worrying about it, and that is just what they have programmed you to do.

Armageddon has always been so close you can smell it (but only for 130 years now) so that JWs will be obediant little servants. No you are disfellowshipped they need you to be so panicked that it will come before you can get reinstated that you will rush back without even thinking whether you should. Then when you are back in, they will forever see you as one of those weak ones that might or might not make it.

Another thing to think about. Go find a scripture that says that disfellowshipped ones will die at armageddon...if it is not in the bible it is merely an opinion of men.

the article says the father of her ten month old recently killed himself too!

why the deep sadness and despair of depression, what can't we help people like her before they "off" themselves.

Never heard of her sorry to say...not my genre of music.

But very sad tale. I have no doubt she regretted the first time she took drugs. What a way to screw yourself. This story is played out all over the world and most never get so much as a 2 line mention in the obituaries.

I feel sorry for the children, they had no choice. (i hope i dont come accross cold, I have been suicidal too, just chose not to)

In my mind, seperate beds in the same room might be an answer to a fidget, kinda hello 1950's. But seperate rooms...i reckon a slippery slope to nothing more than a glorified flat mate.

i jus got dissfellowshiped at th last week..i feel like dying..i attended th meetings yesterday and ita ws jus horrible..came back home in tears....... people i used to cal my friends nw cant look me in the eye..so heartbroken confused and giving up on life !.

December 15 Watchtower --- A New Low in WT Anti-Intellectualism

i wonder whether any of you took note of the article in the 12/15 study edition wt "the simplified watchtower .. why introduced" i couldn't believe they actually had the temerity to put such tripe into print and onto the record.. i was flat-out astonished with its put-down of vocabulary building and self-improvement:.

one egregious example: " the time spent looking up words and explaining expressions (ostensibly from the "smart people's" watchtower) is now spent gaining an understanding of the scriptures and how they fit into the lesson.".

one jw cited in the article actually blames her college education for causing her to fall into the bad habit of "speaking and thinking a way that was more complicated than necessary.

Notes from "Safeguard Your Conscience" Special Assembly Day

recently we had the 'privilege' of attending our local special assembly day.

the theme for this year was safeguard your conscience, and you guessed it, they looked up every reference to the word 'conscience' in the bible and then wrote a talk about each one.

it was most definitely a case of "pack your bags, we're going on a guilt trip.".

Australia formally charges former JW elder

a former jehovah's witness elder who apologised to his alleged victim on facebook has been charged with two counts of indecent assault.

richard hill will appear in the heidelberg magistrate's court on march 1 over allegations that he sexually assaulted a six-year-old girl in 1981.. the victim, now 38, told fairfax media that mr hill did everything except penetrate her - ''he tried, but couldn't manage''.. she said she ''did not realise the gravity'' of what had happened until she was about 14.. at that point she told her mother, who could not act because of a jehovah's witness rule that allegations of sexual abuse would only be acted on if two elders witnessed it, she said.. much later, the victim confronted mr hill on facebook.
